Retirement Plan Specialist
The Retirement Specialist will be responsible for enrolling employees in the group retirement plans made available by their employer. This person will be required to learn and become knowledgeable about the employee’s retirement picture as a whole. This includes Government/State Pensions, Social Security, and retirement account options (401(k), 457, 403(b), etc.) which will be sources of income during retirement. Job will also require assisting with benefits fair and retirement seminars hosted by the employer.
Persons successful at the job will have effective communication skills, be personable, and is someone who seeks to learn. This person will become an expert on employee retirement plan options and stay up to date on current legislative and regulatory issue affecting employee retirements.
Travel across Texas is required.
Additional roles could include sales assistance with Cypher, a cybersecurity division of TCG.
Successful candidates will coach plan participants and provide investment guidance and information and correctly counsel employees on their choices and the respective benefits of each.
Experience and Education
- Entry Level Position
- Four-year Degree preferred
- Prior experience working with educators on retirement planning is a plus, but not required for the right applicant

- Applies knowledge associated with investments and retirement accounts
- Effective listening and communications skills, the ability to critically thing and offer solutions
