Background
Lia Mote is the Senior Proposal and Marketing Strategist for Trusted Capital Group, a Hub International company. Lia joined TCG in August of 2020 bringing over 25 years of financial services, marketing strategy, strategic communications, sales, and professional speaking and speech coaching experience.
Lia’s experience in financial services began in mid 1990’s in Denver, Colorado where she worked as an agent in institutional sales for MetLife Insurance Company and then as a registered representative for a Registered Investment Advisor firm, Global Planning, Inc. In 2007, Lia began a strategic communications consulting firm, LV Mote Group where she continued to work until 2019. She brings strategic communication experience having consulted and worked in the financial services, commercial real estate, and government sectors. Before joining TCG Lia was an editor for the Office of the Governor or Texas and a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Austin, Texas.
Lia currently holds a Series 66 and Series 7 FINRA securities licenses, as well as the life and health insurance licenses. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Dramatic Production and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Speaking from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Lia has also served as a public member of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as an appointee by Texas Governor, Rick Perry.
Lia enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom and her two children. As an immigrant from Greece, she loves traveling, especially back to Greece and beyond. She is always ready for a game of competitive volleyball or a long hike.
