Background

Mike Cochran, FLMI, co-founder of the TCG companies, subsidiaries of HUB International, Inc., brings a wealth of experience to his role in retirement and deferred compensation planning, and public/non-profit executive compensation and employment issues. With a distinguished background that includes serving as President of Pension Consultants and Administrators in Austin, Vice President roles at VALIC and Southwestern Life Insurance Company, and a tenure as a teacher and counselor at Brevard College, Mike’s career spans various facets of financial services.

Committed to providing the best services possible, Mike consults with clients and staff on public and non-profit executive compensation and employment issues, retirement plans, compliance issues, and financial planning, ensuring TCG remains a trusted partner in the realm of executive compensation, retirement plan administration and investments.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mike is passionate about giving back to his community, serving as a Scoutmaster and Boy Scout leader for many years and actively participating in organizations like the Howard Payne University Douglas McArthur Academy of Freedom/Honors Academy and the finance committee of Bethany Lutheran Church in Austin, TX. A graduate of the Dave Ramsey Financial Coaching program, Mike shares his financial expertise by teaching Financial Peace courses, reflecting his dedication to empowering others with financial knowledge and security.

Mike received his BA degree from Howard Payne University and his MA from Appalachian State University.
